Data Protection Policy

The protection and security of personal data is a high priority for us. Therefore we strictly observe the legal regulations (DS-GVO, BDSG, TKG). In the following, you will be informed about the type of data collected and the purpose for which they are collected:

1. Data transmission/Data logging
When you visit this page, the web server automatically saves log files which cannot be assigned to a specific person. These data include, for example, browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address of the requesting computer, access date and time of the server request and the file request of the client (file name and URL). These data are collected only for the purpose of statistical analysis. A transfer to third parties, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, does not take place, with the exception of the services mentioned under 2.

2. Utilisation of external services

Use of Google reCaptcha
In order to secure data transferred by form, we use the service reCaptcha of the company Google Inc. The service is used to distinguish between human input and abusive automated input. Your IP address and any other data required by Google Inc. for the provision of the service are transmitted and used there. For these data the privacy policy of Google Inc. applies. Further information on Google’s privacy policy can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Use of Google Maps API
Our website uses the Google Maps API to visualize geographical information. Google collects, processes and uses data on the basis of the Google Maps API. The varying data protection regulations of Google also apply to this data. Further information on Google’s privacy policy can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Utilisation of Eventbrite
For organisational support in the implementation of events, we use the service provider Eventbrite, which collects and processes personal data on behalf of INFODAS GmbH for this purpose (surname, first name, e-mail address). In this context, we refer to the data processing supplement in which Eventbrite documents its data protection obligations in the context of this processing order: https://www.eventbrite.de/support/articles/de/Troubleshooting/datenverarbeitungsnachtrag-fuer-veranstalter?lg=de

3. Usage of personal data
Personal data is only collected or processed if you provide us with this information voluntarily, e.g. in the context of an inquiry. Provided that there are no necessary reasons in connection with a business transaction, you may at any time revoke in writing (e.g. by e-mail or fax) with immediate effect the permission previously granted to us to store data. With the exception of the services mentioned under 2., your data will not be passed on to third parties, unless a transfer is required by law.
If you register for an event on our pages or apply for a demo license, we will ask you for your name and other personal information. We store your information on specially protected servers. Access to these servers is only possible for specially authorised persons who are involved in the technical, commercial or editorial maintenance of the servers.

Your data will be stored by INFODAS GmbH for further processing in compliance with data protection regulations until the end of the respective event or licence. INFODAS GmbH uses a part of the data (professional address) to be able to contact you in connection with your registration for the events mentioned here.

If you send us your personal data by e-mail as part of an application, we will process it for the purpose of handling the application process. In case of a successful application and conclusion of an employment contract, the transmitted data will be stored for the purpose of processing the employment relationship in compliance with the legal regulations. In all other cases, the transmitted data will be deleted with a period of two months after notification of the rejection decision, provided that no other legitimate interests of the data controller conflict with deletion.

4. Legal basis of the processing operation
Data processing is based on the legal provisions of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a (consent), Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b (necessary for the performance of the contract) of the DS-GVO and Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c (legal obligations of INFODAS GmbH). Finally, processing operations could be based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DS-GVO. Processing operations which are not covered by any of the above mentioned legal principles are based on this legal basis if the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or of a third party, provided that the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail. We are permitted to carry out such processing operations in particular because they have been specifically mentioned by the European legislator. In this respect, it took the view that a legitimate interest could be assumed if the data subject is a customer of the controller (Recital 47 sentence 2 DS-GVO).

Personal data are stored for the duration of the statutory retention period applicable at the time. After expiry of this period, the data concerned will be deleted if they are no longer required for the fulfilment or initiation of the contract.

5. Your rights
In compliance with applicable law, you can ask us by mail at any time whether and which personal data we have stored about you. You will receive a corresponding message immediately. You also have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation, objection and complaint to the responsible supervisory authority.

6. Security of your data
Your personal data provided to us will be secured by taking all technical and organisational security measures to ensure that they are inaccessible to unauthorised third parties. When sending particularly sensitive data or information, it is advisable to use the postal service, as complete data security cannot be guaranteed by e-mail.

7. Cookies
On some of our pages we use so-called “cookies” to make it easier for you to use our website. These are small text files that are only stored on your hard drive for the duration of your visit to our website and, depending on the settings of your browser program, will be deleted when you exit the browser. 8. Modifications of these data protection regulations
We will update this policy from time to time to protect your personal information. You should review this policy from time to time to stay informed about how we protect your information and continually improve the content of our website. If we make significant changes in the way we collect, use and/or share the personal information you provide to us, we will notify you by posting a prominent notice on the website. By using the website, you agree to the terms of this privacy policy.
