CYBERWOMEN – The event for the Women of Cybersecurity
The number of women in Cybersecurity in Germany and other countries is low, however there are more female IT security experts than we might think. So far Germany’s female Cybersecurity experts lacked a common forum for information exchange and networking. After its inauguration in 2019, CYBERWOMEN will continue this mission as an annual event. Eventually it might help establish a female Cybersecurity network in Germany.
CYBERWOMEN is about professional information exchange and networking by, with and for women in IT security. Additionally, it supports those who want to become a female Cybersecurity expert or are interested in the field. Product or company promotion is now allowed. Instead the event generates awareness of the shortage of women in Cybersecurity and fosters subject matter information exchange on Cybersecurity and relevant gender topics.
CYBERWOMEN brings a maximum of 200 Cybersecurity experts from the public and private sector at all career stages (from student to CISO) and areas of Cybersecurity together. Men are explicitly invited to join the event as well.
Organization and Partners
The event is organized on a non-profit pro-bono basis to support the cause of women in information security by infodas with a range of partners and sponsors. It was initiated by Dr. Alexander Schellong. Any proceeds from the annual event will be used for the next event or donated. All sponsors and partners work together openly to promote the event and put together an interesting agenda rather than advancing their own agenda. Speaker and panel slots can not be bought.
